About Us

Sparthfield Happy Day Nursery opened in January 2007 and is recognised as providing quality care and learning. We offer full and part time places and are always willing to work with you to accommodate your individual needs. We welcome parents to visit the nursery while sessions are in progress so they can see how we operate and the interaction between the staff and the children. We want children to feel safe, stimulated and happy in the nursery and to feel secure and comfortable with staff. We also want parents to have confidence in both their children’s well being and their role as active partners within the nursery.

We are totally committed to providing equality for all. We believe that everyone has a right to live in an environment that is free from prejudice and discrimination. The nursery aims to treat all children, families and staff members fairly and as individuals regardless of, for example, their age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, race, religion, culture, differing ability or health status.

We will work with each individual family to establish a settling routine for each child which will be regularly reviewed with you as they settle and develop.

We use the Early Years Foundation Stage to guide our practice. We plan for the whole nursery and for our different groups; however, our main planning is around each individual child, enabling us to support personalised learning.

We recognise that children learn and develop at different rates and that there are many factors affecting achievement, including ability, emotional state, age and maturity. At Sparthfield Happy Day Nursery we aim to identify these needs as they arise and provide support, which enables every child to achieve his or her full potential.

The Nursery has been inspected with Ofsted regularly since opening, achieving outstanding  and good reports at each inspection.

"Management and staff have cultivated a splendid environment that enthuses children to explore and investigate. Every room and outdoor space excites the senses, and children have everything at hand to be creative and develop their own ideas" -Ofsted 2018
