Visits and Visitors

At Sparthfield Happy Day Nursery we encourage the children to experience as many different things as possible.

We  plan for different companies to visit the nursery for the children to experience and learn about new things

or develop new skills. We take the pre-school children on visits to the local park and woodlands, and we plan different outings throughout the year. In our local community we are lucky to have the woodlands, mercer park, wilson playing fields, the woodlands care home, post office and a variety of shops.

At nursery it is important that children experience different cultures and religious celebrations so they value and respect diversity.

If parents share  special occasions, celebrations, visits with us we can use this to inform our planning giving children the opportunity to talk about their experiences,

Outings are a significant part of a child's learning and development, providing them with opportunities to explore the natural world and understand more about their community

Please be assured children are never taken off the premises without parents written permission first and all visits and outings are only undertaken after a full risk assessment.

Visits provide positive experiences that enhance children social, personal and emotional development and communication development.

Children are enthused and highly motivated  and  will often spend lots of time afterwards chatting about their experience to staff, friends and parents.

"The highly inclusive setting ensures that diversity is explored and embraced at every opportunity. Children access exceptional resources and grow within a culture that promotes the values of acceptance, democracy and equality" - Ofsted 2018
