Government Free Early Education Entitlement

The Government Grant is available for some 2 year olds and all 3 and 4 year olds.
Free early education for 2 year olds
From the term after your child turns two, you might be able to claim 15 hours a week free childcare (up to a maximum of 570 hours per year). This is called Free Early Education and it is paid for by the Government. At Sparthfield Happy Day Nursery you are not restricted on how you use this funding, you can spread the hours over the full term if you wish, you can use them over full or half days or you can attend for 3 hours per day term time only. From the term after your child's third birthday, he or she can have up to 15 hours a week of free flexible early years childcare and education. This is called the Free Early Years Education and it is paid for by the government. At Sparthfield Happy Day Nursery you are not restricted on how you use this funding, you can spread the hours over the full term if you wish, you can use them over full or half days or you can attend for 3 hours per day term time only. 30 Hours Free Childcare
As of September 2017, working parents of 3 and 4 year olds may be entitled to an additional 15 hours free childcare on top of the 15 hours already granted. There are certain eligibility criteria which you must meet to receive this additional 15 hours free childcare. For more information and to check your eligibility please click here.
