Forest School

  Here at Sparthfield Happy Day Nursery we have our own Level 3 qualified forest school leader.

We believe the natural world compliments the EYFS and offers many opportunities for learning. It can also help to build a childs self esteem and confidence whilst also having a positive effect on their overall health and well being. The forest school approach seeks to encourage, motivate,engage and inspire children through positive outdoor experiences where children learn in and from nature.

 We aim to provide  "forest school" experiences throughout each childs learning journey, starting in babies.

Our babies ,Shooting Stars, and toddlers,Busy Bees, become our Natural explorers,  these early regular sessions allow the children to gain confidence in the outdoor natural environment before progressing to our Wise Owl Woodland Explorers,who have at least weekly sessions in the nearby Woodlands.
